Four months...

We had our fourth month check up for the babies last night. Here are their stats:

Eamon - a.k.a Our Little Tank
~Weight - 18 lbs 11oz - 100th percentile :)
~Height - 25 1/2 inches long
~Head Size - 17 3/4 inches - yep, he's a Gavigan baby!

Luciella - a.k.a Little Flower
~Weight - 16 lbs 8 oz - 95th percentile
~Height - 25 1/4 inches long
~Head size - 16 1/2 inches - she too is a Gavigan baby.

What they are up to these days:

Eamon ~

  • Sleeps from 8:30PM - 2/3AM. Give him a bottle and a change and he's back out until about 7/8AM. He is JUST like Braxton was. Wakes up so happy in the morning. You'll find him in his crib just kicking away, talking and eating his hands.

  • He is a VERY happy baby. Loves to be held & snuggled.

  • He'll coo and talk and kick when you lay him on his back and talk to him. And he gives you the biggest smiles!

  • 'Talks' in a high pitched voice and chuckles

  • Really likes to watch the TV when certain things are on - bright colors, music

  • Not a big fan of tummy time, but is very strong

  • Wearing 9mo+ clothes for the most part

Lucy~

  • She is more of a night owl then Eamon. Usually goes to bed about 9-9:30 for the night, and sleeps until 2/3AM. She is the same though, bottle and a change and back out. She's like her momma though. She'll sleep in until 9 or later at times :)

  • She LOVES to have blankets on her face. If you take them off she pulls them right back over her.

  • She talks and talks. Much more vocal than her brother.

  • Really watches Braxton and what he is doing

  • Drooly, drooly, drooly! Thinking we'll see a tooth pretty soon.

  • Almost rolling over on her tummy. She gets stuck on her arm and then gets really mad!

  • Has the lung capacity and volume of an adult ;)

  • She wears 6 month clothes at the moment. Some are a little bigger

  • When you surprise her she'll smile real big and laugh! And pull her little hands to her cheeks. Its so cute!
We have been blessed with three very happy, healthy kids. The babies are doing so great and Braxton continues to amaze and entertain us every day. I know I keep saying it, but its so important for us to treasure these days. I am really trying to do a better job of focusing on just how lucky we are.

We take Braxton to the Dr. next week for his two year appt. So I'll post about him when I have his latest 'stats'.

Alright I suppose I should get back to work...
I was re-reading some of my older posts and came across the quote - "Every day is a little life." And it just struck me for some reason. It's so simple and so true.

Enjoy today. Live today. Remember yesterday, hope for tomorrow, but savor today and ALL that it brings...
