And the nesting begins...

So I decided a couple weeks ago that is was time to start getting the house ready for Baby L's arrival. Yes I know there is lots of time left, but being that time has already gone by so fast, I figured it would be better to start now. Anyway, the first project we are going to tackle is the downstairs bathroom. Here are some before pics...after pics to post this weekend!!

Belly Laughs & Dr. Appts...

So the first part of this post is about a book that Laura bought me last week. Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. I received a package last week (I LOVE real mail!). In it was this book. I read it that same night! Anyone that has seen Jenny McCarthy knows she has quite the sense of humor and is pretty, shall we say, to the point? She really doesn't leave much to the imagination. Belly Laughs is all about her experience during her pregnancy with her son. It talks about the process from beginning to end. She has funny stories about her experiences and offers helpful advice to those of us expecting now. It was interesting to hear her experience. Enlightening to say the least and quite funny! So Laura thank you again for the wonderful surprise!

Second part to this is the 7/2 Dr. appt. that we had. All went according to plan. Went in, did the usual sample donation. Fun, fun. Then we went into our exam room. The Dr. checked for the baby's heartbeat. All sounded good. It was 150-160. So that was good. Then it was off to the lab for bloodwork. We decided to do a few tests beforehand to rule out any abnormalities/disease etc. No news is good news, so I am hoping we don't hear anything. After about 6 viles of blood and yet ANOTHER 'sample' we were finally done.

Our next appointment is 7/29. I'll be about 17 weeks then. Geez almost 1/2 way! I am not sure if we do the ultrasound then or not? Might be the next one...Either way, the baby's sex is going to be a surprise, but I am looking forward to seeing the pictures again.
