Long Overdue Post...

Well here we are almost 3 months after the twins made their appearance and I am FINALLY writing a blog post. What is wrong with this picture?? I was off of work for three months and I didn't have time to do so, but now that I am back to work I can? Well better late then never right?

So for those of you that don't know, I did have the babies, they are not still in the oven :) Eamon Marcus & Luciella Margaret were born on Sunday, October 23rd, at 6:29PM and 6:30PM. Eamon was 6lbs 8oz and 19.75 inches long. Lucy was 6 lbs 1 oz and 19.75 inches long. Yep they were exactly the same except for that 7 oz.

There is a very long story about how they came to be in this world a little earlier than planned, but I don't have time today to share that. However, I wanted to post a link to their newborn pictures, taken by my very talented sister-in law Jessica. She does such a great job! Here is the link...

I will also be uploading more recent pictures soon. Once I get settled back into my work routine, it will be easier to use my lunch hour for stuff like this. Nothing like time management right?

Both babies are doing absolutely wonderful though. They are happy, healthy and growing! At their 2 month appointment Eamon weighed 13 lbs 5 oz - 75th percentile, was 23 1/4 inches long -50th percentile and his head was 16 1/4 inches - 85th percentile (yep he's a Gavigan baby). Lucy was a little smaller then her brother. She was 11 lbs 7 oz - 55th percentile, 22 1/4 inches long - 50th percentile and her head was 15 1/2 inches - 75th percentile. She too is a Gavigan baby :) Not bad for either baby considering they barely made the charts when they were born. I am sure at their 4month appointment they will have climbed even further.

Big Brother Braxton is adjusting. He was wonderful while we were in the hospital and when we came home. He wasn't too keen on the idea of having to share mom at first, but he has come around. He helps wipe up their mouths when they spit up. He'll take diapers to the garbage for us and bring us new ones. He will even give them good night kisses and pat their heads before he goes to bed. It's very sweet. He turned 2 years old on the 4th and I am still reeling from the fact that it's been 2 years since my baby was born. Where did the time go? Before we know it these babies will be crawling, walking and talking...eesh. The only thing I am overly anxious for is SLEEPING! We're still working on that...our zombie like presence is a sure sign of that. But slowly it's getting better. We're hoping by the end of January we can get them to go 5-6 hours at a time. At least. So I'll keep you posted...

Alright I think that's all I have time to share for now. There is so much I want to write about, I am hoping I can take time in the next couple weeks to do so....

For now here's a quote:

"A child enters your home and for the next twenty years makes so much noise you can hardly stand it. The child departs, leaving the house so silent you think you are going mad. " ~John Andrew Holmes

~B - off to enjoy the noise...

I love your quote! It's nice to read your words again and I'm sending you great good thoughts that you'll soon have better sleep. xo
