So according to my calendar, eight days from now is the beginning of Spring. Given the 20 degree temperatures, it's hard to imagine, but I am hopeful the weather will soon break. We had a teaser last week, mid-60's and sunny. But then lots of rain and cold temps brought us back to reality. The nice day though really gave us a taste of what's to come and now I am growing anxious. We started talking about our garden, and the plans for the lawn, and my flower beds. Those projects are just around the corner. I can't wait!
We had our first annual Cabin Fever party Feb. 28th and I am happy to report it was a success! Although, that's not hard given the only goal was for people to have fun. We had lots of food, a D.J. for entertainment and of course great friends and family there to celebrate. Lessons learned for next year - I can plan on less food! There weren't too many leftovers, but we definitely could have cut back. Poor Luke has been eating mostaccoli for almost two weeks now! Bless his heart, he didn't want it to get wasted...I would have pitched it the next day! So yep, the party was great.
NOW I am focusing on the upcoming vacation!!! Yes, I have read and watched the news on the increased violence in Mexico. No, I am not letting that change our travel plans. We are going and we are going to have a wonderfully, relaxing and fun time! I can not wait!!! Three glorius days on the beach, in the sun with my love! 14 days...
